Viking wooden box
"Odin's Eye"
The soul of this creation
The design of this box is inspired by Viking imagery, incorporating the runes of the ancient Futhark alphabet, a raven referring to Hugin and Munin, Odin's faithful companions, and the Valknut symbol.
The Valknut, whose name means "knot of slain warriors" and emphasizes valor and courage, is particularly linked to Odin, as God of war. It also symbolizes the strength and worth of people who sacrifice themselves for the good of their community. Being made up of three triangles, the Valknut is strongly linked to the number three and all its symbolism (heaven, earth and hell, or the concept of body, mind and soul, or the elements water, air and fire...).
