• It is designed and handmade with fine pewter in our small french studio.

This high quality pewter is pure at 97% and in accordance with European standards (lead, nickel, cadmium and antimony free). The chain is in stainless steel and titanium jumprings. All these metals are hypoallergenic.

The gemstones are natural, so their colors and details can be slightly different.

The symbolism of the necklace

This necklace is inspired by an inverted pentagram hidden in the basilica of the Sacred Heart in Montmartre. Both gargoyles forming a heart make a reference, of course, to those which adorne the back facade of the basilica, and also to the Sacred Heart itself.

In ancient times, the pentagram was generally considered as a symbole of perfection, life, beauty and love. Regardless of whether it is inverted or not, the pentagram was therefore a very positive symbol, often considered as the most powerful of all. Therefore, in the creation of this pendant, the idea of perfection and love was retained, more than its contemporary pagan significance.

But as for every piece of art, everyone is invited to make their own interpretation according to their beliefs and their own sensibilities.
