Symbolism

The pentacle symbolises the spirit and the elements united in the great whole represented by the circle. When it is turned upwards, the spirit is considered to be turned towards the sky, and therefore symbolically towards spirituality, while when it is turned downwards, it is considered to be turned towards the earth, and therefore symbolically towards materiality.

The tree of life represents the union of earth and sky, and thus symbolically of materiality and spirituality, as well as, in a broader sense, of the macrocosm (the universe) and the microcosm (man). This makes it a particularly powerful symbol of everything that forms life.

Symbolism and properties of stones

Amethyst is a stone of spiritual protection and purification. It acts on the crown chakra and the third eye and promotes meditation. Because of its purifying properties, it is very useful to help create an energy shield that will protect you from the surrounding negativity. Amethyst stimulates intuition, favours visions and dreams, and is therefore recommended for divination and oniromancy, but also for working to increase psychic capacities, especially clairvoyance. On a psychological level, amethyst helps to calm nervousness, as well as to remain concentrated.

Malachite is one of the most important protective stones against negative energies, and is therefore particularly effective for psychic protection because it impregnates the aura with positive vibrations and reinforces its natural protection to filter out hostile energies. Malachite acts on the heart chakras, helping to preserve emotional balance. It is also a stone that helps creativity and self-confidence.

Prehnite is a stone of unconditional love. It helps in the practice of visualisation and meditation, which it intensifies. Prehnite also helps to increase intuition, to evolve spiritually and protects the auric field. It is a protective stone that brings peace, also around oneself, which helps to get in touch with others more easily. On a psychological level, Prehnite soothes, calms phobias and deep fears by identifying and healing the reason that causes them.

Lapis lazuli opens the third eye chakra and balances the throat chakra. This stone is particularly useful in working with dreams, as well as for increasing psychic abilities. Concentrating on a lapis lazuli can help to let go of stress and to find a deep inner peace. It is also a protective stone against psychic attacks, which it blocks and sends back to its source.

Amber is of course not a crystal, but a solidified and fossilised plant resin. This makes it a stone that is closely related to the earth, which purifies the environment and the chakras.
